Doctors make mistakes.

Medical malpractice (negligence) occurs when a health care professional fails to diagnose a condition or to properly treat a patient and such failure in turn causes injury to the patient. Although a doctor is not responsible for a bad outcome standing alone, the doctor may be liable if he or she did not exercise reasonable care in treating a patient.

This failure to exercise reasonable care can occur in many instances: failing to diagnose a condition, improperly performing a procedure, neglecting a patient, failing to order tests, failing to refer the patient to a specialist, prescribing an improper medication, etc.

Forum Law Group also represents patients who have been overprescribed painkillers, including narcotics and opioids. If you think you might have been taken advantage of by a doctor or pharmacy, we are here to evaluate your case for free.
