Stephen J. VoorheesAttorney

Stephen is licensed to practice in Oregon, Missouri and Kansas.

His legal career began in 2005 when he was awarded the Judge Glenn Evans Scholarship to study at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 2008. In his final year of study, Stephen received the prestigious CALI Award in Trial Practice. After passing the bar, he served a one-year term as a clerk for Missouri Court of Appeals Judge Harold Lowenstein, then the longest serving appellate court judge in Missouri history.

Thereafter, Stephen found his passion working as a personal injury trial attorney fighting insurance companies and corporations. In his first trial, the jury awarded his client 8x the amount of the insurance company’s final pre-trial offer. He recently obtained a $500,000 judgment in an insurance bad faith case and a $1,200,000 settlement in a lawsuit against a drunk driver.

Stephen continues to work exclusively as a Plaintiff’s trial lawyer because he is dedicated to helping individuals and families obtain justice after enduring some of the most difficult hardships of their lives.

He is an active member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. He was also recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” and The National Trial Lawyers organization as a “Top 40 under 40” trial lawyer.

Outside of work, Stephen enjoys being outdoors, rock climbing, yoga, and spending time with his family.
