Stephen J. Voorhees has seen firsthand how people suffer harm due to the negligence and carelessness of others or corporations. Those losses are often both physical and emotional. Stephen devotes his professional life as a lawyer to helping people through these times and the legal process.
Steve practices exclusively in the discipline of personal injury law. He represents people who have been injured in car accidents, bicycle accidents, truck accidents, premises liability accidents, and wrongful death cases.
Steve’s career as a lawyer began in 2005. He was awarded the Judge Glenn Evans Scholarship to study at the University of Missouri School of Law, where he obtained his degree in 2008. In his final year of study, he received the prestigious CALI Award in Trial Practice. After law school, Steve served a one-year term as a judicial law clerk at the Missouri Court of Appeals to the Honorable Harold Lowenstein, then the longest serving appellate court judge in Missouri history.
Steve joined a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Kanas City, Missouri, where he worked as a trial lawyer for 7 years before moving to Portland and joining Forum Law Group in 2016.
In his leisure time, Steve enjoys rock climbing, yoga, running and being outdoors.
Lisa is originally from Albuquerque, where she obtained her undergraduate in Anthropology and Psychology at the University of New Mexico. She holds a Paralegal Certificate from Portland Community College and has been in the legal field since 2011. Lisa worked with children as a Qualified Mental Health Associate for 4 years before changing career paths. She spends most of her weekends exploring the Oregon coast and mountains with her dog ever since she relocated to Portland in 2009. She enjoys the restaurants in Portland and the wineries of the Willamette Valley.
Lisa is an active member of the Oregon Trial Lawyer Association Legal Staff section.
